Along with Faolan's unwavering accountability, she produces entertaining posts that I'm sure many of our members enjoy following. Faolan earns the AoTM award because, without fail, she is always posting where she has advertised. Faolan also is awarded with the member of the month award because she is without a doubt the most active member among us. No matter what, I always see Faolan's name in the 'members online in the last 24 hours". Thanks so much Faolan, you're what keeps the motivation for SOV alive.

Fume, created by our dedicated administrator Fume, is likely the oldest character on SOV. And for that title, I think that the German Shepherd alpha deserves some fame. Naturally, being the admin's first charrie, he was bound to be the first charrie here, but Fume was never forgotten or given up. The dedication we have seen in this role played canine is immense and for that, he earns CoTM. A wonderful thanks to the puppeteer of the CoTM, Fume. You deserve more thanks than you get. :)

I hope you all have realized that I'm done with hollow threats about activity. SOV is closing (temporarily!) at least until the fall, when I will have time to entirely redo this site and make it better than it is now. SOV has seen it's amazing days, I love you guys, especially those that have been here since the beginning - Tovi, Faolan, and the recently found Hazard. Please forgive me if I've forgotten anyone. You guys know where to find me if you need me (facebook.com/xxrepertoire, my aim, email, other sites, etc) and I would love to keep hearing from you all. When SOV reopens, it will be on a different URL, but I will post a link here and start advertising on other sites. This isn't the last of The Shadows of Volitare, just a hiatus for a few months. But if you all are looking for a new site to join, please check out one of tpontow's sites, it's the world. I'm a member on there (under the same name for old times sake lol) and this site could use some great new members to make it more interesting!

6 June 2009;; A rant from FumeI'd like to think that I can leave this site for a week without having it completely crashing on me....guys, we need to work on activity- that means replying to threads, helping with linking back, and taking the initiative to advertise for us sometimes. I am only one person and I can't keep up with it all, especially if I am out of town. I also have camps coming up and (the BEST part /sarcasm) summer school. So I can't be on here 24/7. I'm going to need some help, especially from my staff members, I count on you guys a lot at times like this. I don't want to have to shut this place down until I have some more time on my hands- cause if that happens, then SOV probably will be down for a couple months. Also, due to some computer issues on my end, I won't be making graphics for a bit so try not to ask for any signatures from me, hopefully this will be fixed soon =] Sorry for the rant guys, I really am.

I'm sure most members know this, but to guests and potential members, at the moment The Shadows of Volitare is not Internet Explorer compatible. This is mostly due to the new updates and coding, but the forum cannot be accessed in Internet Explorer. If you would like to be able to view the forum correctly and also have a safer browser, download Mozilla Firefox for FREE!!! I have used FF for awhile now and it is much safer, faster, and more efficient than IE. You can click on the picture below this updates box to be taken to the FF website for a free download.

Well, the majority of my rainy Sunday afternoon has been spentdoing a huge 'spring cleaning' of SOV. I've added in quite a few codes, removed a good amount, and also changed the skin to the new default- which is called All In Your Hands, a song by Framing Hanley that is sort of our unofficial theme song =] So, hopefully the new design attracts some new members! Sometime within the week (hell, maybe tonight) I will be posting a new staff contest to pick some mods and gmods to replace our inactive ones, so keep an eye out for that. Also, I am thinking of getting rid of the monthly contest and replacing it with a more different form of an advertising contest that is based off of two rp's that I've joined: Members will earn points based on how often they post, they can use these points to 'buy' things, like graphics or special breeds, stuff like that. The advertising contest will continue, but the winner will receive a large amount of points that they can spend. A high amount of points can also give you certain staff powers and colorful names. And, of course, the winner of the Advertising contest will get a mention in our awards sidebar. So let me know what you all think!
